Nobody publishes that anymore

Right to the truth, violence against the press and harm to communities and colleagues. It is well known that Mexico is one of the most dangerous countries in which to practice journalism.

It is well known that Mexico is one of the most dangerous countries in which to practice journalism, that more than one hundred journalists have been murdered or have disappeared in recent years.
The names of a few of them and their cases ring out: Regina Martínez, Rubén Espinosa Becerril, Javier Valdez Cárdenas, Miroslava Breach. The aim is to maintain their memory, to know the truth about what happened, to obtain justice.
However, almost all the cases remain unpunished and there is still little clarity about what happened. In addition to this, we often fail to know the issues that were being investigated, which stories ceased to be told because they were murdered or disappeared and, something that often goes unnoticed, which communities ceased to have a voice as a result of the crime.
